Tanya & Sicily

At the age of three, Sicily has more spunk and attitude than I’ve been able to muster my entire life. She made me chase her all over the playground and around the park to get her photo. But it was so worth it. She’s a doll. And her mama is crazy about her.

Talia

In August, I became an aunt. Four weeks later, I got to meet my niece. This is the first time I laid eyes upon sweet Talia.

It wasn’t long before we got to see those pretty blue eyes.

I just want to nibble on these tiny baby toes.

The Spreens

I am certainly no professional, so I was grateful for subjects who seemed like pros in front of the camera. Heather and Darren make parenthood look so easy. It was a blast shooting this sweet family. What a gift they gave to me letting me practice with their precious kiddos.

It was a warm day so Helen took an opportunity to cool off in the sprinklers!

Kristen

She’s the kind of friend everyone dreams of having. Thoughtful. Creative. Funny. Spunky. She doesn’t notice if I’m not wearing any make-up; she laughs so hard that she snorts; she welcomes me into her home even when she hasn’t had time to straighten up; she pushes me to chase after a dream when I’m too chicken to pursue it on my own. I love this girl.

Hudson

They broke the mold after they made this little guy. He’s just about the sweetest thing I’ve ever gotten my hands on. I was eager to test out a new lens and he was the perfect photo subject.

blogging

I read a lot of blogs – most of which exist for the purpose of sharing photos. I have spent countless hours poring over pictures of weddings and families and life events of people I have never met. Images of a new mother captivated by the sweetness of her tiny baby or of a father seeing his daughter for the first time on her wedding day can move me to tears. Photographs have this wonderful way of capturing moments, of freezing time, of telling a story. And I cannot get enough.

I love to take pictures. I love my husband for buying me a camera and encouraging me to do what I love.

This is my place to share with you the moments I capture with my lens.
